Game Make and Create

Game Make and Create (gmc.the191.com) is a small, family-made app where you build a level and a character, then play your own game. This page explains what we collect and why. The short version: we keep as little as we can, we never sell anything, and there are no ads. Some features described below, such as signing in, may not be switched on yet.
Playing as a guest
You can use the app without an account. The games you build as a guest, including the levels, your painted character, and the names and text you type, are stored only in your own browser on your own device. We don't receive them.
Signing in with Google
Signing in is optional. If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google tells us your email address, name, and profile picture. We use your email to recognize you, your name and picture to show who is signed in, and nothing else. We never see your Google password, and we don't get access to your contacts, mail, files, or anything else in your Google account.
What we store for signed-in people
- Your email, name, profile picture link, and when you last signed in.
- The games you build and save: the level, your character pixels, game and character names, and any text you type for characters in your game.
This is kept on our server so your games can follow you to other devices. Please don't type private information into game names, character names, or character speech.
Feedback you send us
The Feedback button lets anyone, guests included, report a bug or share an idea. We keep your message, when you sent it, the kind of device and browser, the app version, and who it came from (your account if you're signed in, or an anonymous guest ID). We only keep an email address if you're signed in or you choose to type one so we can reply. To have a message deleted, email us.
Activity log
To keep the app running and understand how it is used, we keep a simple activity log of things like building, saving, playing, and signing in. Each entry notes who did it (or "a guest"), roughly when, and the type of device and browser. We do not store IP addresses or precise location.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent, or share your information with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising. Signing in is handled by Google under Google's Privacy Policy.
Children
Guests of any age can play. Signing in requires a Google account, which has its own age rules. If you are a parent and want a child's saved data removed, just ask us.
Deleting your data
You can delete your games in the app at any time. To have your whole account and everything we hold about you deleted, email mmatthew@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
